This position reports to the Originations Managing Director, Dallas. This position is responsible for originating and transacting secured lending opportunities on a direct basis to the non-investment grade middle market within an assigned territory. The role will require networking with various referral sources including private equity groups, investment banks, turnaround professionals and other third-party intermediaries.

The successful candidate for this position will have the opportunity to learn the asset-based lending industry through hands on working experience. The Collateral Analyst (CA) will work with a minimum of three Account Executives (AE’s) and a Loan Portfolio Manager (LPM). Responsibilities include collateral posting, reconciliations, wire processing, and providing back up support to other team members as needed. The CA position will require frequent contact with customers on a variety of issues generally involving the borrowing base.

This position reports to the Regional Audit Manager. Perform audits on all types of prospective clients including scoping requirements, fieldwork, and issuance of final report for both traditional ABL and non-traditional transactions. During the process the analyst is required to: obtain information on collateral performance such as turnover, dilution, non-primes, etc. and communicate material changes; Analyze financial reports to evaluate and report material changes in operating performance, EBITDA and balance sheet status. Assess the client's overall systems and records and ability to report to Wells Fargo Foothill (WFF). Identify any areas of potential exposure for WFF's collateral; Communicate with Account Executives, Underwriters and Regional Audit Managers throughout engagements to keep them appraised of any material events; Prepare clear and concise audit reports highlighting areas of exposure for WFF. Additional responsibilities include: Learn new technology; Assist Account Executives with new business funding takeover procedures; Assist in training new team members. Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred, 4+ years relevant auditing experience, preferably with an asset based lender; Excellent written and oral communication skills; Ability to work under tight deadlines. This non-exempt position reports to the Loan Portfolio Manager. The successful candidate for this position will have the opportunity to learn the asset-based lending industry through hands on working experience. The Account Analyst (AA) will work with Account Executives (AE) and a Loan Portfolio Manager (LPM). The AA will have a designated Mentor AE. The AA program typically lasts up to 24 months and upon successful completion and existing business need, the candidate will be placed into the Field Audit Department. The Lender Finance ERS Project Manager (“PM”) will report to the Division Portfolio Manager and be responsible for developing, implementing and managing the division’s electronic reporting efforts. This position supports Loan Administration with the administration of legal documentation for the existing loan portfolio as set forth by existing policies and procedures. Position requires frequent review of policies and procedures to assure accurate, comprehensive loan documentation. Primary duties and responsibilities: Set-up and maintain legal files for new and existing accounts; review all incoming legal binders to insure proper format and completeness; monitor post-closing legal items using Open Item grid; follow-up with outside counsel on post-closing issues when necessary; maintain, verify and update client data in the Document Tracking System (DTS); update documents’ status on a daily basis for Pending List and follow-up weekly with assigned Account Executives to ensure completion of documentation requests; assist Account Executives with documentation follow up; monitor UCC expiration dates; prepare collateral releases; coordinate UCC preparation and recording; coordinate and obtain public record searches on accounts; monitor insurance expiration dates and obtain renewal certificates; file and track completed Financing Memorandums, Credit Approval Sheets (CASs) and Credit Modification Requests (CMRs); maintain credit files for completeness and consistency; maintain log of all notes, other negotiable instruments, stock certificates, collateral assignments, deeds of trust; file correspondence and documents received from clients and attorneys; and other duties as deemed necessary.

This position reports to the Loan Portfolio Manager. The successful candidate for this position will have the opportunity to work in the Specialty Finance division which offers senior secured revolving and term loans that recognize the underlying value of companies in the hospitality, media, healthcare, and gaming industries. The Account Officer (AO) will have direct responsibility for the management of an assigned portfolio of accounts including structuring, underwriting, and closing of loan restructures and modifications; exceeding customer expectations relative to customer service while proactively mitigating portfolio risk; and presenting collateral and financial trends to Senior Management. In addition to daily loan portfolio management, the AO will be responsible for the training and mentoring of at least one Portfolio Associate. The AO will have the opportunity to develop strong working relationships with clients to ensure open communication and improved understanding of the client’s operating performance and business needs, including occasional travel to client sites. This position will be responsible for the reconciliation and analysis of the interest income. This position will gain an understanding of the various interest and fee receivables, perform the reconciliation and aging of the receivables, and ensure that all receivable items are recorded into income and cleared on a timely basis according to GAAP. Reviews interest and fee information in the company's major data processing systems, including the General Ledger System, the Loan Management System and the Client Management System. Reviews and analyzes the validity of receivables; Reviews and analyzes aged receivables; Researches and responds to inquiries regarding interest and fee receivables. The position will also prepare various general ledger activities including Accounts Payable and account reconciliations, as assigned by the General Accounting Manager. Assist in month-end closing and special department projects including providing information to internal/external auditors. This deal-oriented position assumes responsibility for a transaction once a Proposal Letter is executed and a due diligence deposit/reimbursement agreement is received, and maintains “ownership” until the transaction ultimately closes. Primary responsibilities include completion of a comprehensive financing memorandum and facilitating the loan closing process. Completion of the Comprehensive Financing Memorandum: Assesses the creditworthiness of prospective clients by; Working closely with Business Development Officers, Underwriting Analysts and Regional Underwriting Manager. Developing a solid working relationship with prospective borrowers, key WFF referral sources (PEGs, investment banks) and other potential senior/junior lending partners. Coordinating/Scheduling and analyzing appraisals, valuations and field examinations. Analyzing historical and projected financial statements (including sensitized projection models). Calculating overall liquidity and covenants. Assessing competition, industry and market comparables and relating it to the proposed borrower in terms of valuation, risks to the borrower’s business model and WFF’s exit strategy. Attending/Participating in credit committee for each transaction underwritten. Facilitation of the loan closing process: The underwriter will negotiate with top-level management of Borrowers to structure and document transactions, manage WFF counsel to ensure that transactions are tightly documented, issues are appropriately identified and resolved and that transactions are executed in an efficient and cost effective manner. This position will facilitate the loan closing process from credit committee approval to closing, execute documents on behalf of WFF, and coordinate the Account Executive introduction and take-over field examination.
